A highly refined series of in situ concrete elements, Temple House represents a deeply collaborative and technically rigorous contribution to a private residence in Bayview, designed by Walter Barda. Spanning multiple spaces, the works were conceived as fully integrated architectural components, resolved directly within the fabric of the home.

Across the primary bathrooms, bespoke his and hers vanities were cast entirely in place, each comprising benchtops, integral basins, splashbacks, and waterfall fronts formed as singular, continuous elements. Executed in ultra high performance concrete, these pieces were hand finished, polished, and sealed on site, achieving a seamless material expression with no visible joins or interruptions.

Within the main ensuite, the scope extended to a fully cast bathtub surround, carefully shaped and refined in situ to maintain continuity with the adjoining surfaces. The result is a calm, monolithic presence, defined by precision and restraint.

A sculptural floating vanity in the powder room continues this language, integrating basin and splashback into a pared back composition that appears to hover within the space.

Temple House is an exercise in control and craftsmanship, where construction and sculpture converge to produce a quietly immersive architectural experience.
