A series of bespoke bathroom vanities conceived for Kumale, a landmark residence in Palm Beach designed by Walter Barda, this project reflects a deeply considered dialogue between material, form, and architecture.

Commissioned across multiple bathrooms, each vanity was uniquely dimensioned yet unified through a consistent sculptural language. Defined by a semicircular geometry, the forms echo the home’s architectural vocabulary of soft curves and rounded openings, resolving into waterfall edges that ground each piece with a sense of weight and continuity.

Central to the project was the development of a custom concrete mix, formulated to achieve a refined, granular surface quality. Marble dust was introduced to create a subtle, spaced texture within the matrix, producing a soft, mineral depth that reveals itself through light polishing and sealing. The result is a quiet, tactile finish that sits in harmony with the broader material palette of the residence.

Each vanity incorporates an integral basin, cast seamlessly into the form using a meticulously developed mould system, allowing for consistency across varying scales.

Paired with bespoke timber joinery, the collection reads as both cohesive and highly tailored, an enduring expression of craftsmanship embedded within a continually evolving architectural work.
