A landmark commission and the largest piece created to date, Archibald is a twelve metre sculptural table and bench conceived as the social heart of the The Archibald Residences. Positioned within the elevated communal terrace, the work anchors a shared environment designed for gathering, dining, and connection, set against expansive views toward Bondi.

Formed as a continuous, flowing gesture, the piece transitions seamlessly from tabletop into integrated bench seating, resolving into a branching Y shaped configuration. Its geometry is defined by a series of complex, undulating curves, creating a fluid interplay between surface, structure, and movement. The entire form was developed through advanced robotic milling, with large scale foam sections precisely cut to establish the intricate profiles before being cast in a bespoke terrazzo and meticulously refined by hand.

Sixteen custom stools accompany the work, each mounted on a stainless steel base and softly illuminated with integrated LED lighting. Additional concealed lighting runs beneath the primary form, casting a subtle glow that accentuates its sculptural presence after dark.

Both architectural and experiential, Archibald is designed not only as a functional object, but as a place of convergence, an invitation for residents to gather, share, and inhabit the space in a meaningful way.
