“The curved masterpiece home.”

Crosini was contacted by an internationally recognised architect that has worked closely with us in the past. The brief was to develop bathroom vanities that matched the same finish of a famous bathtub that had been installed. This involved matching the base colour, sand particle colours and over all particle spacing of the sand, as well as including an originally designed integral sink in each vanity.

After sourcing various sands from all around Australia, the primary sand was found after a trip to a Newcastle quarry. With many rounds of samples developed, the perfect ratios of sand types, sizes and cement loading was achieved. The base colour also successfully matched the bathtub, much to the delight of the architect and client. Crosini was then commissioned to create the bespoke vanities.

The exquisitely designed ‘half-moon’ waterfall sink was developed through sculpting foam, applying a filling material and extensive sanding and refilling. Upon successful completion of the master mould, a reusable rubber mould was developed.

The ‘half-moon’ rubber sink mould was then placed into specially formulated timber moulds generated from onsite templates. Custom timber backing and fibreglass sink backing moulds were developed and mounted in place. The custom recipe was then cast into the various vanities to form each piece to the beautiful bathrooms.
